Buy Yellow Golden Pheasants For Sale
The Yellow Golden Pheasant (Chrysolophus pictus) is a color mutation of the Red Golden Pheasant, developed in the 1950s by Allesandro Ghigi, and first appeared in the United States about ten years later.
The Yellow Golden Pheasant is a similarly caped, or “ruffed,” as the Red Golden Pheasant. However, the red coloring is replaced by a golden yellow. To maintain the brilliant yellow color, these pheasants need ample shaded areas as the sun can fade their coloring.
The female Yellow Golden has a similar appearance to the female Red Golden.
Other caped, or “ruffed”, pheasants include the Lady Amherst Pheasant.
These birds are not pinioned and can fly.
